Ridge walk

D. Take the D266 road towards Vernet-la-Varenne to the cemetery. Then along its enclosure wall, climb the path for approximately 250m. Turn left onto a path which joins the D266. Take the latter on the right. 250m further on, take the left path; cross the stream then go up to Farges. In the hamlet, take the asphalt road which goes up to the right and then join the D266. Take this road on the right for around 100m then turn towards a path on your left towards Recolles. At around 600m take a path on the right which leads to the bottom of Recolles.

1. We do not cross the entire hamlet of Recolles. We take the first path on the right which we follow for approximately 80m. We then find ourselves in front of a fork. Take the left path towards Edmesse. At this hamlet, follow the D266 road on the left for 20m then turn onto the road immediately to the right; continue towards Vinfaud. At the edge of this hamlet, cross the D33 (round trip possible to the orientation table which is 300m below, on the edge of the D33).

2. Take the dirt road opposite, passing to the left of the water reservoir and entering the forest. At the crossroads, turn right onto another path. At around 600m, turn right onto a grassy path. Leave the forest at a place called “Moulin à vent” where there is a sawmill. Arriving on the D702 (at the height of a stone cross), take the road on the right and reach Lospeux, continue slightly to your left and go down to Peslières.

3.  At the exit of the village, facing a cross, turn right onto a path that goes down. Follow the first path on the right until you cross the Gardet stream. Then reach the hamlet of Viade after climbing about 800m. Take the D266 on the right, 250m further on, turn left to take a path that goes up. At a place called “les Cotes”, we are finally on the flat. The church of Sainte Catherine du Fraisse is in sight 800m away.
