Start: From the car park, walk along the left-hand side of the cemetery. At the small road, climb to the left. 100 m farther on, at a left-hand bend, leave the road and climb a
track on the right. On reaching the wider track, follow it to the right for 200 m and, at the crossroads of four tracks, take the track on the right to the hamlet of Les Boursis.
1. In the hamlet, climb left along the D309 (bread oven). 150 m farther on, leave the D309 and turn left towards Clairmatin. Go straight through the hamlet (bread oven on the right), remaining on the small road. At the junction, cross the road and continue opposite, then 100 m farther on take the second path on the right.
2. On reaching the wide track, follow it to the left (view of the Chaîne des Puys, the Sancy massif, the Limagne plain and Clermont-Ferrand). At the junction, where the surface becomes paved, follow the road straight ahead. After 300 to 400 m, take the track on the left into the woods. Then, 100 m farther on, turn right onto a track and right again 50 m later onto a path winding through the woods. Leave this track for a path on the left.
3. Reach a wide track, cross it and take the path opposite. At the paved road, continue opposite. Pass Château de Codignat on the left and continue straight ahead. Leave the road for a track on the left entering the woods (dangerous descent
with ruts and large stones). In the village of Taloup (rammed-earth barn), turn left onto the track.
4. At the road (a shortcut back to Bort-l'Étang is possible by turning left), turn right (ignore the road on the left towards Basset) and continue straight ahead (view of Château de Mauzun ahead). Cross the D212 and take the small road opposite (towards Les Andrauds). At the entrance to Les Andrauds, beside the pond and iron cross, turn right (you can continue straight ahead to see the bread oven), then right again just after a rammed-earth barn. At the junction, turn left (view of Château de Mauzun on the right).
5. At the next junction, turn right. Where a track joins from the right, continue straight ahead to the road. Follow it to the right, then take the road on the left as far as the D309. Turn right along it for a few metres.
6. Immediately take the track on the left. Cross Lance and continue straight ahead, then follow a dirt track on the right for 1.5 km. Climb the first track on the left and, at the fork, turn left.
7. Turn onto the track on the left and, after 500 m, take a descending track on the left. Cross the small stream and continue along the main track, which bends right before climbing through the woods. At the T-junction just before the ponds, take the track on the left and continue to the D212. Cross it and take the track opposite leading to Guillaumont.
8. Just after the cross, turn right and follow the road. At the next junction, turn right again. Take the first dirt track on the left and, 250 m farther on, turn left. Opposite the karting circuit, turn left. At Chez Laire, follow the track on the right. At Le Beurrier, turn left and pass the nursery school. At the church, turn right onto the D309 to return to the starting point.

Departure: church square. Head towards the D 906. Cross it to take the road opposite (D 308 - Be careful with fast traffic). At the cross, continue straight ahead and reach Bel-Air. In the hamlet, go down the grassy path opposite. 1. Take the D 44 on the left; cross the bridge and, 100 m further, go up the small road on the right. Cross Genestoux along the castle and keep the same road. The road becomes a path that we follow straight on. Always follow the main path. At the tarmac road, turn left and join Les Pierres. 2. In the hamlet, pass between 2 houses then turn left onto the road towards Gaillard. In the bend, continue on the road to the right. Cross the town; at the exit, just after the last house, turn right. At the entrance to Coussat, before the first house, take the path on the left. Go down to the bottom of the village and take the path which goes to the right between the houses. At the first intersection, turn left. At the next intersection, continue straight on then, at the next one, continue straight on. 3. At the road, turn left then, 30 meters further, turn right. In the hamlet of Bournoux, continue straight on. At the bread oven, continue to the right. At the bottom of the village, at the road, turn right towards Coulaud. Before the first houses, at the “Give way” sign, turn left. Follow this path (steep climb) to the hamlet of Provarel. Cross the hamlet then, after the last house, leave the road which goes up to the right and take the path on the left (viewpoint over the Puyde-Dôme and the Puys chain). 4. At the hamlet of C h e i x, continue straight on the path which goes down, then up. At the road, turn right. 50 meters further, at the transformer, take the road on the left. Follow the D 44 on the left. 200 meters further, leave the road and take a path on the right in the fields. At the crossroads, follow the path on the right. In the hamlet, take the road on the right. 5. 500 meters later, at the crossroads, turn right to cross La Brousse (bread oven) and continue straight on the tarmac to join the D 906 (be careful with fast traffic). Cross it to take the street opposite. Walk alongside the “Les Toits de la Dore” housing estate, the cemetery and continue to the railway line. At the railway line, turn left and reach the church of Néronde sur Dore.
